# Quickstart

> Create an API key in the app and pull your first matches.

## 1. Start your trial

Create an account to start a 14-day trial. No credit card is required. Product Access includes the full API and MCP during the trial. Monitoring starts after product setup and a successful destination test.

If the trial ends without a paid plan, monitoring and API/MCP access stop. Your product and destination settings remain ready for reactivation.

## 2. Create an API key

1. Open [Integrations](https://leadfast.vip/integrations) in the app.
2. Under **API & agents**, choose **Create key** and name it for its job (`billing-service`, `local-agent`).
3. Copy the secret. It is shown once and stored hashed: if you lose it, rotate the key.

## 3. Make a request

```bash theme={null}
curl https://leadfast.vip/api/v1/matches?limit=5 \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LEADFAST_API_KEY"
```

```json theme={null}
{
  "data": [
    {
      "id": "1abc234",
      "subreddit": "SaaS",
      "title": "How do you find relevant Reddit posts early?",
      "match_score": 86,
      "band": "strong",
      "suggested_reply": "We make LeadFast to surface relevant Reddit posts while the conversation is still fresh.",
      "published_at": "2026-08-29T18:01:00.000Z",
      "seen_at": "2026-08-29T18:03:00.000Z"
    }
  ],
  "next_cursor": null
}
```

## 4. Connect your agent instead

If you would rather ask an agent than write code, use the MCP server: same data, same key, no HTTP to hand-roll. See [MCP](/mcp/overview).

## Limits

* Read-only: no endpoint writes to LeadFast or Reddit.
* 60 requests per minute per key.
* Keys never expire by default; rotate them any time from the same screen.
